Police charge three men in underage sex probe

City police have charged three men after an investigation into the local sex trade.

Police say the three were arrested on Wednesday and Thursday as part of an investigation into area residents looking to pay for sex with people under 18.

Ken Scott, 58, of Peterborough, Dustin Whalen, 33, of Madoc, and George Downer, 41, of Peterborough, were each charged with sexual exploitation, obtaining sexual services for consideration, luring a child and agreement for sexual offences against a child.

They were released and will appear in court Oct. 18.
