-

City police made an arrest after a robbery at a McDonnel Street convenience store Sept. 21.

Police say a woman entered the store at about 11:30 p.m. and brandished a knife while demanding cash. The clerk turned over money and the thief fled. A call to police brought officers to the area and a suspect was identified.

The suspect was spotted Tuesday walking near George and Charlotte streets.

Ciji Lee Munro, 32, of Charlotte Street, was charged with robbery with a weapon and failing to comply with a probation order. Police later determined that a stolen chequebook was used to cash forged cheques at a local business in August.

Munro was also charged with using, dealing or acting on a forged document and failing to comply with a probation order. She was in court Wednesday.
