Door kicked in by man

A 34-year-old Rubidge Street man faces charges after a break-in Saturday at a multi-unit home on Lansdowne Street West.

Police were called at about 6 p.m. after an unknown man wielding a baseball bat kicked in a door to one of the units.

The residents were home at the time, but no injuries were reported. Arriving officers arrested a man and seized an aluminum baseball bat, city police said. Albert Pender was charged with break and enter and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose .
