Bulldogs acquire Wainman

-

Peterborough native Josh Wainman was traded Friday to the Ontario Hockey League defending champion Hamilton Bulldogs by the Erie Otters.

In return, the Bulldogs send a 10th round pick from the 2019 OHL Priority Selection to Erie. The 19-year old defenceman played 131 games over the last three seasons for the Otters and recorded five goals and 21 assists for 26 points.

“We are excited to have Josh join the Hamilton Bulldogs organization,” the Bulldogs said in a statment. “He will add quality experience, ability and depth to our already solid defence core.” Wainman was Erie’s 4th round pick (71st overall) in the 2015

OHL Priority Selection.

The Peterborough Petes face the Bulldogs at 4 p.m. Saturday at the First Ontario Centre in a rematch of last Saturday’s game when Hamilton handed the Petes their first loss of the season.
