CHIEFS TROUNCE REBELS 9-2
James Allen had two goals and an assist to lead the Lakefield Chiefs past the Campbellford Rebels 9-2 in PJHL action Saturday night in Warkworth.
The Chiefs sixth straight win moved them into a first-place tie with the North Kawartha Knights with one game in hand. Jesse Merrill also scored twice while Ryan Shaughnessy, Evan Marlowe, Jeff Hawthorne, Ethan Young and Dawson Turcotte also scored.
Mitch Ogilvie, Max Moloney, Adam Kitchen, Cole Ellis, Karn Dart, Zac Treen, Tarren Jank, Riley Wade, Marlowe, Shaughnessy and Hawthorne also had assists. Andrew Barwinski made 20 saves for the win.
Jaco Yohn and Mathieu Piazzi scored for Campbellford who fell to 0-6.
The Chiefs host the Little Britain Merchants 7:25 p.m. Tuesday at the LakefieldSmith Community Centre.
