CHIEFS TROUNCE REBELS 9-2

James Allen had two goals and an assist to lead the Lakefield Chiefs past the Campbellfo­rd Rebels 9-2 in PJHL action Saturday night in Warkworth.

The Chiefs sixth straight win moved them into a first-place tie with the North Kawartha Knights with one game in hand. Jesse Merrill also scored twice while Ryan Shaughness­y, Evan Marlowe, Jeff Hawthorne, Ethan Young and Dawson Turcotte also scored.

Mitch Ogilvie, Max Moloney, Adam Kitchen, Cole Ellis, Karn Dart, Zac Treen, Tarren Jank, Riley Wade, Marlowe, Shaughness­y and Hawthorne also had assists. Andrew Barwinski made 20 saves for the win.

Jaco Yohn and Mathieu Piazzi scored for Campbellfo­rd who fell to 0-6.

The Chiefs host the Little Britain Merchants 7:25 p.m. Tuesday at the LakefieldS­mith Community Centre.
