Brass vases stolen from Whitby graveyard

WHITBY — Durham Regional Police are looking into the theft of brass vases from a Whitby cemetery last week. More than 100 decorative brass vases were taken from burial plots at Mount Lawn Cemetery between Oct. 3 and 6.

Police released a composite photograph with examples of what the vases look like. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Const. Tipsters may be eligible for a $2,000 cash reward.
