Four hurt in collision
A section Highway 28 east of the city was closed for about seven hours Friday after a serious Tbone collision.
Four people were taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Peterborough County OPP said. Three had minor injuries, police said, but one had life-threatening injuries and was airlifted from PRHC by Ornge air ambulance to the trauma unit at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto in critical condition.
The crash happened at about 8 a.m. when a vehicle westbound on Division Road and a vehicle southbound on Highway 28 collided at the intersection in Douro-Dummer Township.
Highway 28 was closed between Old Norwood Road and County Road 8 along with Division Road between Sweeney Line and the 5th Line of Douro for an investigation by OPP technical traffic collision investigators. The roads reopened by 3:15 p.m.
