Man charged after items stolen from cars

-

A local man wanted in connection with the use of a stolen credit card was arrested Oct. 10 after police received a report of a man rummaging through parked cars on Park Street.

Police arrested a man at about 3 a.m. and determined that a warrant had been issued for his arrest after a woman reported that a credit card in a purse stolen from a parked car Oct. 6 had been used to make purchases at local stores.

Justin Black, 43, of no fixed address, was charged with six counts of fraudulent use of credit card, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and two counts of breach of probation.

He was released from custody and is to appear in court Nov. 1.
