Arrest after pedestrian chased, vehicles hit

A man is accused of chasing a pedestrian with his vehicle in a parking lot before hitting two parked vehicles and fleeing the area.

Police were called to investigate the incident in a Monaghan Road parking lot Sept. 22. A warrant was issued for a suspect’s arrest. John Wesley Garfield, 56, of Wallace Street, Campbellford, was arrested Wednesday.

He was charged with driving while disqualified, dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
