Holy Cross senior, junior teams unbeaten on season

The Holy Cross Hurricanes junior and senior girls rugby teams completed undefeated Kawartha high school regular seasons on Friday.

The senior Hurricanes beat the Adam Scott Lions 51-0 and the junior Canes beat the Lions 39-22. It’s the juniors third consecutive undefeated season and fourth in five years.

It’s the first unbeaten season but second straight year finishing in first place for the seniors.

Holy Cross will host the Kawartha AA playoffs on Thursday.

The seniors will play Halliburton Highlands Redhawks in the semifinals while Adam Scott will play Cobourg’s St. Mary’s Thunder. In junior, Holy Cross will face Adam Scott in the AA final.
