Man killed in ATV crash north of Peterborough

Collision happened on Boundary Lane off Salmon Lake Road

TRENT LAKES — One man is dead and another injured after an ATV crash near Salmon Lake Road north of Catchacoma on Friday night.

Peterborough County OPP say two men were on all-terrain vehicles when they collided on Boundary Lane at about 7 p.m.

One of the men, 30, was taken to hospital for treatment.

The other, 34, died from his injuries.

Police say neither man was using proper safety equipment.

Boundary Lane was closed for several hours while OPP collision reconstructionists probed the cause of the crash.

The investigation continues.
