Driver charged after Fairbairn St. crash

An arrest has been made after a vehicle crashed into a pole on Fairbairn Street near Highland Road early Saturday morning has led to an arrest.

City police arrived to investigate the 3:40 a.m. collision and found a damaged vehicle and pole. Suspecting the driver had been drinking, police took the driver to the police station for a breath test.

Jordan Robert Paul Norrad, 23, from Chemong Road, Bridgenorth was charged with impaired driving and driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. He was released and will appear in court Nov. 8.
