Highway 115 stunt driving charge laid over 161 km/h

A Scarborough man has been charged after a vehicle was clocked travelling 161 kilometres per hour along Highway 115. Peterborough County OPP say officers were conducting radar along Highway 115 on Wednesday around 2:30 p.m. when they caught a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.

Jaskirat Grewal, 23, of Scarborough, was charged with stunt driving in relation to excessive speed.

Grewal’s driver’s licence was suspended for seven days and the vehicle was impounded.

He is to appear in the Ontario Court of justice in Peterborough on Dec. 10.
