Nominations sought for Fleming College awards

Fleming College is seeking nominations for its awards program that recognizes outstanding service to the community.

The Brian L. Desbiens Community Service Awards are handed out annually, with one internally to a Fleming College employee and another externally to a member of the public.

The awards were created to recognize citizens who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to, and concern for, their community, country or beyond, through volunteer work and career. Candidates for the external award can be any citizen who lives in Peterborough, Haliburton or Northumberland counties, or the City of Kawartha Lakes, which are all served by Fleming College’s campus locations. Members of the public can nominate candidates for either award.

All nominations must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Nov. 1. Awards will be presented later this fall.
