$10K in damage in fire
Damage is estimated at $10,000 after a fire in the basement of a house in Peterborough’s north end early Friday morning. Occupants of the house on Wolsely Street noticed smoke coming from the basement but the small fire was already out by the time city firefighters arrived. Firefighters remained on scene to clear the residence of smoke using positive pressure ventilation, acting Platoon Chief Scott Stanlick stated.
The cause of the fire has not been determined, Stanlick stated.
