The employee complied before the man took the money and packs of cigarettes before fleeing. Police were called and an officer on patrol located a man matching the description of the suspect walking south on Otonabee Drive a short time later.

The stolen cigarettes were seen on the suspect before officers found him to have two knives, police stated.
