Domestic assault charge

A 19-year-old city man faces a domestic assault charge after someone witnessed a woman being assaulted during an argument with a man in a Peterborough home at about 3:30 a.m. Thursday, police stated. Officers attended the home and arrested and charged the accused, who is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 29.

Names were not released by city police to protect the identify of the woman.
