PUMPKIN SALES BOOST BROCK MISSION REBUILD
Sean Corkery presented a $1,710 cheque Thursday to Trent Anderson, Brock Mission’s program manager, as the proceeds from his annual sale of pumpkins from his Parkhill Rd. W. home, outside of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church at Murray and Water streets where Brock Mission is being temporarily housed until a new shelter can be built. The former Brock Mission shelter on Murray St. was razed about a year ago to make way for a new building. City council put the brakes on the project after it went overbudget earlier this year. Coun. Lesley Parnell said Thursday that a new architect has created a new design which will go before the new city council in December or January.
