Kylie Shaughnessy helps Guelph win silver medal

Peterborough was well represented at the U Sports women’s rugby championships in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Peterborough’s Kylie Shaughnessy helped the Guelph Gryphons to a silver medal. They lost 41-24 to the St. Francis Xavier X-Women in Sunday’s final. Georgia Stewart was a member of the Ottawa Gee Bees bronze medal winning team. Ottawa, who entered as defending champions, beat Laval 20-19 on Sunday. Harlee Bruce and Stewart’s sister Lily, in her rookie season, played for the Queen’s Gaels who finished sixth following a 26-15 loss to Victoria.
