Stabbing attempt

A student at a Lindsay high school was charged after trying to stab another student with a knife, say police.

Kawartha Lakes police say on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 10:51 a.m. a group of students was outside the school when a fight broke out between two young people. A student tried to kick, punch and stab another student with a knife. The short struggle ended without injuries.

The student was charged with assault, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and is to appear in court Dec. 18.
