Health unit holding flu shot clinic

As flu season kicks up, Peterborough Public Health encourages local residents to get their flu shots soon.

The organization is hosting a free flu shot clinic on Nov. 19, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The clinic will take place at the Cavan Monaghan Township Office gymnasium. No appointments are needed – walkins are welcome.

In addition to the shot, you can help prevent the spread of the flu by staying home if feeling under the weather, washing your hands frequently, routinely cleaning and sanitizing commonly-used surfaces, and coughing or sneezing into your sleeve or tissue and washing your hands afterwards.
