Second person charged in home invasion case

City police have charged a second person after a group of people allegedly armed with knives and bats broke into a city home Wednesday night and assaulted two people.

All the people involved know each other, police say.

One person was arreted early the next morning.

Police located a second suspect later that morning, arresting him at a home in Cavan Monaghan. Jarred Alexander Scott, 20, of Stewart Line, Cavan Monaghan, was charged with assault causing bodily harm, break and enter, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose and failing to comply with a probation order.

He was held in custody and appear in court Thursday.,
