Text messages lead to charges for local man

City police arrested a man Tuesday after his former partner reported unwanted attention to police.

It’s alleged that the man communicat­ed with her via text messages after she asked him to stop.

A 37-year-old man, whose name was not released by city police to protect the woman’s identity, went to the police station Tuesday, where he was arrested and charged with criminal harassment — repeatedly communicat­e. He was released and will appear in court Nov. 29.
