Major Bantam A Petes extend winning streak

The Peterborou­gh NDB Firm and Associates Major Bantam A Petes won two games over the weekend to gain four points in the league standings.

The Major Bantam A Petes defeated the Oshawa Generals 5-3 on Saturday at the Kinsmen Civic Centre. Nick Stinson, Cole Lester, Chris Girardi, Kaiden Bletsoe and Nathan Burke scored for the Petes with assists to Matthew Robinson, Lucas DiBella, Lester, Stinson, Burke and Girardi. Ryder Hadwyn played a strong game in net as the Petes outshot the Generals 25-20.

On Sunday, Peterborou­gh continued their winning streak by defeating the Whitby Wildcats White 5-4 at the Evinrude Centre. Noah Davidson had two goals for the Petes with single goals to Vincent Galeazza, Isaiah Scott and Burke. Lester, Stinson, Robinson, Burke and Galeazza assisted on the goals. Goalie Kyan Micks stopped 23 shots to help earn the win for the Petes.
