Race cars, equipment worth $300K stolen
Race cars and other items worth more than $300,000 were stolen from a storage facility on Edenderry Line in Selwyn Township. Peterborough County OPP say the theft happened sometime between Aug. 5 and Nov. 1 when a black trailer containing the items was stolen.
Missing are: a 2006 black Pace PRG trailer bearing Ontariolicence plate R8077P, a 2004 orange Suburu IR4 race car with no plates, and a 2004 white/black Suburu IWS race car with no plates.
Also taken were two spare motors, three spare dog boxes and sequential transmissions, spare rally and recce suspension, two spare rear differentials, control arms and lateral links, two spare subframes, a spare brake set, lights, wheels, tires, tools, jacks, helmets, racing suits, intercoms, auto body parts, a compressor and two generators, custom tents, a barbecue, a TV, a laptop, a tablet, a printer, radios, car covers and straps and two GPS units.
