Weather delays repairs to Jackson Park trail bridge
Winter weather has forced the delay of repairs to a bridge along the Trans-Canada Trail west of Jackson Park.
Otonabee Conservation reports that the project is expected to be complete by Nov. 30.
“The principle concern with the bridge replacement project is the cold temperatures that we have been experiencing. The concrete footings for the new bridge are taking longer to cure, which is slowing the process,” stated Dan Marinigh, Otonabee Conservation’s chief executive officer, in a release.
The bridge is located east of Ackison Road, near Lily Lake. That section of the trail will remain closed until the work is done.
