Lakefield welcomes Santa Claus on Sunday

LAKEFIELD — Santa is heading to Lakefield.

Peterborough County’s first Santa Claus Parade of the season happens Sunday in the village. The Lions Club’s annual parade begins at 1 p.m. Float registration starts at noon at the Lakefield Legion on Nicholls St. downtown before the parade makes its way through the downtown. Afterward, children can visit Santa at the Legion and receive a bag of treats.
