Prizes at downtown Black Friday event offered

The Downtown Business Improvement Area has $3,000 in prizes up for grabs as part of its Black Friday promotion - along with two hours of free parking. Participating businesses, many of which will be open at 8 a.m., will have Black Friday balloons and posters. Shoppers with DBIA Holiday Passports can enter to win one of three early-bird prizes ($500 in downtown money) and a $1,500 grand prize. Shoppers get a stamp on their Holiday Passport for every $10 spent, and full passports become ballots for the draws on Dec. 5, 12 and 19 and Jan. 9.
