Santa in War­saw Satur­day

WAR­SAW — The War­saw Santa Claus Pa­rade hap­pens at 5 p.m. Satur­day in the vil­lage east of Peter­bor­ough. Be­gin­ning at the

pub­lic works garage at 1422 County Rd. 4, the pa­rade winds through the vil­lage and ends at the Town Hall on South Street. This year’s theme is a A Pi­o­neer Christ­mas. Floats are wel­comed. Con­tact She­lagh Lands­mann at 705-877-2884 or she­[email protected] for de­tails.

Or­ga­niz­ers note that throw­ing candy from floats is pro­hib­ited. The pa­rade will be fol­lowed by the an­nual tree light­ing cer­e­mony at the gazebo be­side Town Hall, with hot choco­late, carol­ing and vis­its with Santa fol­low­ing. Pro­ceeds from a gin­ger­bread house raf­fle will go to the nutri­tion pro­grams at War­saw Pub­lic School and St. Joseph School.
