New comedy with Elvira Kurt
Elvira Kurt is coming to Peterborough Dec. 2. In addition to two standup sets, the comedian will be leading an improv contest with Linda Kash. This event will also let everyday people give standup comedy a chance. It runs from noon to 3 p.m. at Showplace.
The afternoon will also include a live auction, with bidding on a cottage getaway, year gym membership, a painting by Paul Nabuurs – and other works of art – and more. There will also be a brunch and a full bar.
The event is Mysterious Entity’s annual fundraiser, with money raised supporting the theatre’s operating costs and paying artists. Tickets are $15 and $32 (includes brunch), and available by calling 705-742SHOW.
