Open houses on Official Plan

-

The city will collect feedback from residents as part of the development of a new Official Plan through two open houses in the weeks ahead.

The open houses will include presentations on design ideas for public parks and streets, preservation of environmental lands, architectural principles and the results of the recent Community Design Charette and Urban Design Survery, as well as Q&A sessions, a city release states. The first happens Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at St. Alphonsus School on St. Mary’s Street. The second is on Dec. 5 at Northminster United Church on Sunset Blvd. from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Both open houses will include presentations on urban design at 6:30 p.m. and natural heritage preservation at 7:30 p.m. on Albert Street, Murray Street, Earlwood Drive and at the Evinrude Centre.

In three of the incidents, large rocks were thrown through vehicle windows.

Stolen were a purse with a large amount of cash, a coat, vehicle ownership and insurance papers, personal identification and bank cards.
