Chiefs beat Panthers 6-3
LAKEFIELD — Lakefield Hendren Funeral Home Chiefs captain Braden Kublick had two goals and an assist as the Chiefs doubled up on the Port Hope Panthers 6-3 in PJHL action Tuesday night at the LakefieldSmith Community Centre.
Zac Treen and William Keith each had a goal and an assist for the Chiefs. Jesse Merrill and Carson Hartwick had the other Lakefield goals. Karn Dart had two assists while Jeff Hawthorne and Cole Ellis contributed single assists.
Lakefield outshot the visitors 38-17. Michael Christie made 14 saves for the win, while Ethan Robertson took the loss for the Panthers, blocking 32 shots.
The Chiefs face the North Kawartha Knights on Saturday at 2:55 p.m. at the North Kawartha Community Centre in Apsley.
