Kawartha high school league expands by three

The Lindsay I.E. Weldon Wildcats and Norwood District Knights made their return to the Kawartha high school boys hockey league in a head-to-head match-up on Wednesday.

The Wildcats pulled out a 3-1 victory with Cam Marshall, Harvey Porter and Liam Fagan scoring. Will DeChamps had an assist. Owen Hubert scored for Norwood assisted by Jack Wilson.

The league has expanded from 10 to 13 teams for the 2018-19 season with the Thomas A. Stewart Griffins also returning to the league this year. Each team will play a 12-game regular season schedule with the top eight advancing to playoffs.
