Jeremy Brooks of AVROD wins Cubs’ Lair
Jeremy Brooks of AVROD, a virtual reality tech online database for archeologists, was declared the winner of the Innovation Cluster’s fourth annual Cubs’ Lair Entrepreneurship Competition on Thursday night. Brooks wins a package of prizes and services worth more than $10,000 to grow his business.
Five young entrepreneurs made their pitches to the judges during the competition at the Gordon Best Theatre on Hunter Street in downtown Peterborough.
The other five finalists were: Dylan Trepanier of Alexander Optical; Cody Cameron and Joshua Williams of Devout Fitness, a mobile app for 24/7 access to fitness professionals; Mariah Eshkakogan and Madawi Abunayyan of Grand Najd Cosmetics line of Arabic oil fragrances; Dillon Ahola of Opened Minds, an inclusive clothing line.
The competition was open to new entrepreneurs aged 18 to 29.
The Innovation Cluster partnered with FastStart and the Trent Youth Entrepreneurship Society for the Dragons’ Denstyle competition.
