The Peterborough Symphony Orchestra (PSO) kicks off the festive season with their Home for the Holidays concert, which takes place Saturday December 8 at 7:30 p.m. at Showplace Performance Centre.

This family-friendly concert features musicians of the Kawartha Youth Orchestra playing alongside their PSO counterparts. More than 80 musicians will perform fun and familiar holidays pieces, comparable to a Boston Pops-style program for the Peterborough Area. This will be followed by a carol singalong.

“The PSO’s Home for the Holidays concert has become a Peterborough tradition”, says PSO music director and conductor Michael Newnham. “One of the highlights every year is the carol singalong. With the full audience and the more than 80 players on stage all taking part, this is for me always an unforgettable experience.”

Tickets are $35 for adults and $10 for students and are available online at www.showplace.org or by calling 705-742-7469. For more information, please visit
