Petes continued their winning streak over the weekend to hold on to their first place league standing.

The Major Bantam A Petes defeated the Quinte West Hawks 5-4 on Sunday night at the Evinrude Centre.

Nick Stinson scored two goals for the Petes with singles to Cole Lester, Chris Girardi and Isaiah Scott. Lester and Girardi had two assists each with single assists to Vincent Galeazza, Scott and Stinson.

Kyan Micks played a strong game in net.

The Petes are tied for first place in league standings with the Clarington Toros.

Next action for the Major Bantam A Petes is Tuesday at 7:25 p.m. against the Ajax Knights at the Ajax Community Centre.
