Scammer asking for fire department donations

Someone is going door-to-door in Peterborough asking for donations on behalf of Peterborough Fire Services.

This is a scam, city police report, adding that the fire department does not solicit donations.

Anyone with information can call city police at 705-876-1122 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
