Wolves claw Griffins

The Cobourg Collegiate Wolves downed the Thomas A. Stewart Griffins 3-1 and the I.E. Weldon Wildcats from Lindsay beat the Campbellford Flames by the same score Tuesday in Kawartha high school boys hockey action. Adam Gilmore scored on an assist from Ty Wesenberg for TASSS, while Cobourg had goals from Kyle Pope assisted by Trevor Dejong, Isaac MacLeod from Ryland Upton and Avery Cook and Upton unassisted. Jacob Sanderson provided some great goaltending in the I.E. Weldon win. Harvey Porter had two goals for the Wildcats and Liam Fagan scored the other. Joel Murray had the lone Campbellford goal on an assist from Cameron Doucette.
