OPP nab snowmobiler wanted in break-in

A man was arrested Thursday night in northeastern Peterborough County after an investigation into a break-in in Bancroft. Peterborough County OPP were called in to assist Bancroft OPP in the investigation and found the man travelling on a snowmobile while under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Michael Coppins, 23, of North Kawartha Township, was charged with break and enter, driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood and two counts of driving while disqualified.

He is to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on Dec. 20 and in Bancroft on Jan. 22.
