Driver killed in Selwyn Road crash

Collision happened at about 4 p.m. Saturday

One person is dead after a collision on Selwyn Road Saturday afternoon.

Peterborou­gh County OPP say a sports utility vehicle headed south allegedly crossed the centre line between 11th and 12th Lines of Selwyn and hit a nortbound car at about 4 p.m.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The people in the sports-utility vehicle were taken to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatenin­g injuries.

The road was closed as the OPP investigat­ed the crash.
