Winterfest raises $55K

Winterfest events in Peterborough and Lindsay last month raised $55,000 to assist children who come to Five Counties Children’s Centre.

The annual event, which sees visitors enter draws for trees decorated with prizes and services, raised $33,000 at Peterborough Square and $22,000 at Lindsay Square.

Winterfest also included live music, face painting, games and more.

Proceeds go Five Counties Children’s Centre, which provides services including speech therapy, occupational therapy and more to 4,200 children each year, with 850 families on the waiting list.
