Three East City churches join together to celebrate Advent
St. Luke’s, Mark Street and Immaculate Conception taking part
Churches in East City are joining to bring a unified Christmas Advent service planned for Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, 566 Armour Road.
Parishioners from Immaculate Conception, Mark Street United and Saint Luke's will gather at St. Luke's for Advent lessons and carols.
Choirs from all three churches will take part as well, to singing well known, traditional carols. beginning of the Story of Christmas. Refreshments and some special treats of the season to follow, along with some time for fellowship. All are welcome to this community event.
Museum After Dark
The Peterborough Museum and Archives presents another instalment of Discovery After Dark, a monthly education program for kids six to 11 years old, happening after hours at the PMA.
The next one is slated for Dec. 15 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the museum, 300 Hunter St. E.
The evening is lead by museum educators and uses flashlight exploration and scavenger hunts, games in the gallery, crafts and more.

Discovery Camps
The Peterborough Museum and Archives is bringing The Magic of Winter to the museum during the holiday break, set for Jan. 3 and Jan. 4. There are still lots of spaces left for all session of this camp.
Kids learn about ice and snow and explore the magic of the season. These camps are designed for kids four to 11 years old. Winter Break camps run two sessions each day, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to to 4 p.m.. Morning and afternoon sessions are led by the same instructor and follow the same theme but are independent camps. Campers can join one or both sessions.
