Fensive player of month

Peterborough’s Luke Miller of the North Kawartha Knights was named the PJHL Orr Division’s Defensive Player-of-the-Month for November.

Miller posted a 4-0 record with a 1.75 goals-against-average and a .951 save percentage in four appearances. He has a 10-1 record overall this season with a 3.19 GAA and .911 save percentage. The Knights sit in first place with a 19-3-1 record four points ahead of the Lakefield Chiefs. His goaltending partner is his brother Noah Miller.

TAS EDGES CAMPBELLFORD

The Thomas A. Stewart Griffins defeated the Campbellford District Flames 6-4 in Kawartha high school boys’ hockey league action on Tuesday.

Liam Tombs scored a pair of goals and an assist while Camden Carpenter Jagger Mundell, Adam Gilmoure and Ty Wesenberg also scored. Gilmoure added two assists with singles to Robin French, Cole Fallis and Gilmoure had two assists each and Ben Fleguel one.

Ty Wesenberg. Colby Turcotte scored twice for Campbellford with singles to Zack Lamb and Ashton Doucette. Lamb and Doucette had two assists with singles to Jakob Neuman, Joel Murray, Max Pearson and Turcotte.

The I.E. Weldon Wildcats beat the Crestwood Mustangs 7-4. Reed Campbell and Will Deschamps scored two goals each for the Wildcats while Liam Fagan had a goal and assist with other goals to Brad Fanning and Greg Downey. Harvey Porter had two assists with singles to Jackson Allen, Noah Stokes and Downey. Evan Downer led Crestwood with a goal and assist while Tanner Barbeau, Aaron Bradshaw and Eric Smith also scored and Ethan Malott added an assist. On Monday, the Fenelon Falls Falcons doubled the Lindsay Collegiate Spartans 4-2. Trevor Gee and Dryden Desjardins led Fenelon Falls with a goal and assist while Cam Watson and Nick Harris also scored. Ross Nettinga had two assists and Garret Jukes one.

Thomas Golden and Sam Thomas scored for LCVI with assists to Graham Everhett, Jacob Willock and Nick Patterson. On Wednesday, the Holy Cross Hurricanes beat the Norwood District Knights 10-3.

Kieran Flynn, Austin Rye and Gabe Lemire scored two goals each with singles to Gavin Cooper-Bailey, Nolan Marino, Bode Dunford and Colin Elliott. Flynn had three assists with two each to Isaac Desautel, Jon Hughes and Marino and singles to Jon Hughes, Austin Hagerman, Nick Conner, Caleb Drimmie, Jordan Paterson, Mason Walker, Rye, Elliott and Dunford. Jack Wilson scored twice for Norwood while Curtis McCurdy had a goal and assist. Also adding helpers were Owen Hubert, Scott Emery, Drew White and Jacob Hoy.

The Haliburton Highlands Redhawks beat LCVI 5-0. Details were unavailable.
