FIRST PASS­PORT WIN­NER DRAWN

Peter­bor­ough’s Pat McCar­dle is the first Hol­i­day Shop­ping Pass­port win­ner, Peter­bor­ough DBIA of­fi­cials an­nounced Thurs­day. She picked up her $500 prize in down­town money for win­ning the early bird draw at Char­lotte’s Web af­ter her pass­port was drawn Wed­nes­day at Mer­cado La Ha­cienda, of­fi­cials stated.

A box on the pass­port can be stamped any time bear­ers spend $10 or more at more than 100 par­tic­i­pat­ing busi­nesses. When the pass­port is full and its form is filled out (20 stamps), it can be dropped off at a bal­lot box at any of the same busi­nesses.

The pass­ports fea­ture three early bird prizes - two more will be drawn Dec. 2 and 19 with the grand prize of $1,500 in down­town money to be drawn Jan. 9. The se­cond early bird draw takes place at Lift Lock Es­cape, the third at Cute as a But­ton and the grand prize will be drawn at Hello Baby! Each takes place at 2 p.m.
