Teen wins at Ontario weightlifting event

Thirteen-year-old Ashton Jolley won the Ontario Junior Olympic Weightlifting Championships in Toronto on the weekend.

Jolley, who trains at CrossFit PTBO, took the gold in the boys’ 55 kilogram weight division.

His gym mate Dominique Weatherup, 12, placed sixth overall in the girls’ division while setting a personal best in the snatch with a lift of 42kg (94 pounds).
