TASSS football blood drive honours injured teammate
The Thomas A. Stewart Griffins senior football team has organized the In Honour of Braidyn Blood Drive for the month of December.
The team and its coaches will donate blood on Tuesday at 5:20 p.m. at the Canadian Blood Services Peterborough Donor Centre at 55 George St. N.
The Griffins are honouring their friend and teammate Braidyn Milton who suffered life-threatening injuries following a car crash on Highway 28 in Douro-Dummer Township on Oct. 12. Milton is now back in Peterborough after initially being airlifted to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto. He has made significant improvement but has a long road of recovery.
The Griffins are encouraging all friends, family, students, athletes and relatives to donate blood in December in honour of Braidyn, according to a press release from Canadian Blood Services.
