Saints, Griffins earn ties in boys high school play

The St. Peter Saints from Peterborough tied the St. Mary Thunder from Cobourg 2-2 in Kawartha high school boys hockey action Monday.

Shane Abrams had a goal and an assist for the Saints. Brad Calder also scored for St. Peter, while Brendan Koch and Ryan Ward also had assists

Connor MacGregor, assisted by Jacob Tinney and Austin Gilmour, and Dawson Williams, from Colyn Swan and Drew Clapperton, scored for St. Mary.

The Thomas A. Stewart Griffins tied the Lindsay Collegiate Spartans 2-2 on Monday.

Adam Gilmoure, from Cole Fallis and Jacob Macleod, and Jayden Cumming, from Jagger Mundell and Camden Carpenter, had the TASSS goals.

Jeffery Newarch and Thomas Golden scored for LCVI. Kaden Coombs assisted on both goals. The Fenelon Falls Falcons defeated the I.E. Weldon Wildcats 3-1 on Monday.

Keegan Janke had two goals for Fenelon Falls. Riley Desjardin had the other goal and Nick Harris and Evan Taylor each had two assists on Janke’s goals. Ross Nettinga and Derek Ibbitson had assists on Desjardin’s goal.
