OPP issues appeal for tips in slaying

City of Kawartha Lakes OPP are looking for tips on the second anniversary of the day a man’s body was found in Ops Township.

The body of Bayram Abolhassani-Larki, 19, was found in a vehicle in a field off Post Road, west of Peterborough. Detectives from both the OPP and the City of Kawartha Lakes Police Service have been working on the case.

A reward of $50,000 is being offered. Anyone with information can call the Ontario Provincial Police criminal investigation branch at 1-888310-1122 or 705-329-6111, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.

Police worked with Abolhassani-Larki’s mother to record a video asking for help.
