OPP officer charged with uttering threats

An Ontario Provincial Police officer will be appearing in court in Lindsay after be charged following an investigat­ion into an off-duty domestic incident.

The OPP Profession­al Standards Bureau launched the investigat­ion Tuesday, police said Thursday.

A provincial constable who has been with the Central Region Highway Safety Division for 32 years was charged with uttering threats.

He has been placed on extended paid leave and is to appear later in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay.

His name was not revealed by police.
