Woman charged after relative defrauded

City police arrested a local woman Thursday after investigating a $3,000 fraud.

It’s alleged that the woman accessed a relative’s savings account and took $3,770 between July and October.

The woman, 25, was charged with fraud under $5,000. She was released and will appear in court Jan. 9.

Her name was not released by city police to protect the other person’s identity.
